Bed Hold Census Warning Value

The Bed Hold Census Warning value is setup in A/R Configuration. When set up under A/R Configuration, the Bed Hold Census Warning Value triggers a census warning before the exhaust date as defined by the Leave Tracking Rules.

For example, if the payer covers 10 bed hold days and a 3-day warning was set up, the system tracks the current and previous bed hold days used and a census warning appears when the resident has used a total of seven bed hold days. Depending on your configurations, Bed Hold/LOA Days Remaining can be monitored on the Dashboard and on the report for all residents in your community.

  1. From A/R Configuration, locate the Bed Hold Census Warning Value.

  2. Enter the number of warning days.

  • You see a census warning based on the payer's bed hold/LOA coverage specified under the Leave Tracking setup.

  • The system also factors in the Previous Bed Hold/LOA Days Used when entered under the Resident's A/R Profile.

  • The Bed Hold Census Warning is similar to the Medicare A exhaust alert.
