Creating the Move In Census

Move In Census entry is created for every resident. The Move In Census is the original move in date to the community. It is important to capture the Move In Census to identify how long a resident is at your community.  

Warning

You cannot edit the effective date in the census entry. If you enter the date incorrectly, you must delete the line and re-create the entry.

  1.  Billing > Resident Chart > Census/Rates > Census.

  • Effective Date /Time - Select information. 

  • Action - Select Actual Move In.

  • Payer - Select option. Additional fields are available based on selected payer.

      • Agreement Type - Select information. 

      • Payer Option -  Always select Use Payer Setup File Created by this Entry for an Admission census entry.

      • Status - Select information. 

      • Care Level - Verify or select information.

      • Alt. Care Level - Select or verify information as needed. 

      • Living Unit - Select information.

      • Living Unit Rate - Verify or select information.

      • Additional Location - Select information.

      • To/From Type - Select information.

      • To/From Location - Select information.

      • Comments - Enter as required. 

      • Based on your organization's census setup for action and status codes, status selections may vary.

      • Care levels can auto-populate based on payer setup, however some payers can have more than one selection.

      • Living Unit rate auto-populates based on living unit, however another selection can be made per your requirements when enforce max weight per living unit on census rates is selected in A/R Configuration.

      • To/From Location selections are available after you select the To/From Type. If you do not see your selection, the external facility needs to be a hotlist item in your configuration.
