Documenting Resident Not Available For All Tasks in Point of Care (POC)

When a resident leaves your community and is expected to be gone for the remainder of the shift, you can document all of their tasks at the same time. The Resident Not Available batch update allows you to document a response of Resident Not Available for all tasks that are not complete. This includes Timed, Monthly Duration, and QShift tasks. PRN tasks are not documented with the batch update.

If the resident returns before the shift is over, you can still document care. For Timed and Monthly Duration tasks, strike out the Resident Not Available response and document the task. For QShift tasks, strike out the Resident Not Available response or use the New Entry button, and document the task.

Note

If a resident is transferred out in census, you see On Leave on their tile in POC.
