Pharmacy Initiated Orders is a model where the pharmacy enters most pharmacy orders on behalf of the community. The Pharmacy computerized system is linked with PointClickCare to ensure accuracy and consistency between the two systems. Orders entered by pharmacy are electronically transmitted to the community in a Pending Confirmation status.
Note
Orders must be confirmed before becoming active and available for documentation in eMAR.
