Overview of Service Package Management

The Service Package Management module is available for Senior Living. It provides flexible setup options to automate tracking and billing for care services. Efficient, accurate tracking and billing is accomplished with:

  • Tiered packages containing customer-defined levels of care.

  • Points based packages.

  • A la carte services.

You can use one of these or any combination of these methods.

Key features of Service Package Management:

  • Define customized Service packages to use either Service Levels or Points billing method, and associate rates and services.

  • Each Senior Living community can define Service Billing options, activate appropriate service levels and/or points type service packages, and customize the services, rates, and effective dates.

  • Modify Resident Service Levels Packages to change rates or adjust for additional services. Modify Resident Points Service Packages to change rates or Units. The Resident Service Package information updates the A/R profile for the resident, which automatically creates recurring charges necessary for billing purposes.

  • Automatically update Billing based on Service Level forms. Service level forms can be used for the initial determination of the appropriate service package required for a resident. All service forms provide dashboard notification of assessments completed for the resident. You can configure rounding options for units billed or bill partial units without rounding for Form scores containing decimal values.

  • An approval process option allows selected resident service package changes to:

    • Be triggered by form scoring.

    • Be delayed until accepted and approved by senior staff.

    • Appear on approval status dashboard.

    • Be set with an effective date of new service level or allow the automatic billing of the new level after the number of days you define.

  • Point of Care and combined billing methodologies allow you to bill residents for additional services excluded in the resident's current service package, or services exceeding the service limits defined in their service package (Service Levels or Points based). Service charges are captured for at point of care based on units of service or time spent providing service.
