Senior Living Communities

Overview of Payer Rules and Rate Schedules

Payer Rules and Rate Schedules define room and board revenue codes, revenue days accounts, and the rates for each living unit type and schedule for the payer. They insure accurate billing and reimbursement amounts on account receivables. Your resident's census rate entry looks to Payer Rules and Rate Schedules to bill the correct room rate.

Payer Rules & Rates must be configured in every Community. To help with this process in a multi- community you can configure payer rules at the Management Console level and copy to the Community level. Rate Templates are available in both multi and single Community organizations to help automate the process.

A new Payer Rules and Rate Schedule must be configured if rates or revenue codes change for the payer, or if there is a new contract for a payer.

Multi-communities can save significant time by configuring Payer Rules at the Management Console and copying the rules to the payers in each community.
