Overview of MDS 2.0

The Resident Assessment Instrument Minimum Data Set (RAI-MDS 2.0) is used in Long Term Care facilities to provide a comprehensive picture of a resident's overall health and abilities. The RAI-MDS 2.0 is used in various Canadian provinces and internationally.

The RAI-MDS 2.0 suite of assessments is available and allows you to create, complete, schedule, batch, and manage MDS assessment records for submission to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) or your provincial submitting body.

You can enable certain features in MDS, complete RAPs or CAPs based on provincial requirements, submit to the Integrated Assessment Record (IAR), view MDS specific educational materials, use the RUG optimizer tool, and set options to meet your facility and provincial needs.
