MD/Nursing Communications Report

Progress notes can appear on the MD/Nursing Communication report at the time the progress note is created. The MD/Nursing Communication Report can be run and printed to help in communicating relevant information about a resident, and allows for space for a practitioner to write notes, and sign their signature. This report is a communication tool that can be filtered to include various clinically relevant areas for example weights, vitals, current orders and diagnoses.

  1. From the Clinical Report list, click MD/Nursing Communications Report.

    • Optional: Select Resident Number or Resident Name using magnifying glass.

  2. Select Unit and Floor.

  3. Select to filter by Medical Professional.

  4. Select to Print Medical Professional's Address.

  5. Select Progress Note Date Range to include.

  6. Select to include: Active Physicians Orders, Discontinued Physicians Orders, Current Weights and Vitals, Weights and Vitals Exceptions, Current Diagnoses.

  7. Select to include Demographic Information including: Admission Date, Age, BMI, Last Physicians Visit, Primary Payer, Gender, Allergies.

  8. Select to Insert Page Breaks Between Residents.

  9. Select Sort By option.

  • Only progress notes previously selected to appear on the MD/Nursing Communication Report are included in the report.

  • If items are selected and are not present on the resident chart based on filters selected, report outputs do not appear for that resident.

  • You must have security permission to access this report.

    • Admin > Setup > Security Roles > Clinical module > Communications Reports (parent header) > MD/Nursing Communications = Yes.
