Starting General or Cross-Facility Conversations

You can start a Secure Conversation from the Conversations listing screen. Select a General conversation and then select which facility or facilities the conversation goes to and the participants or participant groups that are applicable.

  1. From the Conversations listing screen, tap the + icon.

  2. Select conversation type: General (Cross-facility or within a single facility).

  3. From the Choose a Facility screen, select a Facility or Cross-Facility from the listing.

  4. Enter into the Re: Subject (optional) field.

  5. Tap the +  symbol to the right of the To : field to select Individual or Group participant(s). A check mark appears next to the participant name. Tap again to remove the selected person or group.

  6. Type your message in the TigerText Secure Message field.

  7. Tap Send.

  • General Conversations are sent to individual(s) and/or group(s) in just the selected facility.

  • Cross-Facility Conversations are sent to individual(s) and/or group(s) across all facilities with Secure Conversations.

  • When entering Subject, avoid including PHI as notifications on mobile devices can include the Subject line.

  • You can remove participants by tapping on the To: field area and selecting the – symbol next to the participant to remove and tap Delete (iOS only) or tap the trash icon and tap Delete (Android). You can also add additional participants from here as well if required via Add Participant .

  • Messages have a maximum of 500 characters. If the message is longer, only the first 500 characters are sent.

  • Send photos within the conversation by tapping the camera icon next to the TigerText Secure Message field. Select an existing photo on the mobile device or take a photo now and send as part of the conversation.

  • You must have security permission to start a General and/or Cross-Facility conversation.

    • Security Roles > Home module > General Conversations = Read/Add or higher

    • Security Roles > Home module > Cross-Facility Access= Yes

  • You must have security permission to send photos in conversations.

    • Security Roles > Home module > Include Photos = Read/Add or higher

  • You must have security permission to the Secure Conversations mobile app.
