Creating Alerts in Point of Care (POC)

In POC, you can create an alert to communicate resident information to staff. For example, a resident refused a meal or seems different than usual. Alerts created in POC appear on the POC Shift Dashboard, and the Clinical and Resident Dashboards in the Clinical Alerts pane.

  1. POC > POC tab.

  2. Select resident.

  3. Click New Alert.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Select alert. If enabled, you see additional alert options, for example, eINTERACT or COMS®.

    • Select Custom Alert > type alert description.

  5. Click Save.
