Order Supply Summary Overview

The Order Supply Summary in the Pharmacy Orders view in the Order Portal in both the web and eMAR provides you with a quick reference of the number of items that are available in each tab of the Pharmacy Order view. The items listed in the Order Supply Summary match the labels of each of the tabs across the Pharmacy Order view. The number to the right of each item listed is the number of items listed in that tab.

  • To Be Ordered from Pharmacy (manual) - the number of medications that are added to resident charts via the Order tab of the resident chart but have not yet been ordered from the non-integrated pharmacy, meaning the Pharmacy Requisition Report needs to be generated and faxed to the non-integrated pharmacy to communicate new orders.

  • On Order from name of integrated pharmacy (electronic) - the number of medications that are ordered from the integrated pharmacy, but are not yet been dispensed from the pharmacy. When an electronic dispense message is received by PointClickCare from the integrated pharmacy, these medications automatically move to the 'Waiting to be Received' category.

  • Waiting to be Received in the last 72 hours (electronic) - the number of medications/supplies that are dispensed by the integrated pharmacy in the past 72 hours. While there may be other supplies listed in the 'Waiting to be Received' tab the number in the Order Supply Summary only represents the last 72 hrs. To see older supplies, select the tab and change the Filter options to look back over the time period you want.

  • Requiring Follow-up (electronic) - the number of supplies that are marked for follow-up during the receiving process. When you receive medications/supplies, you can have questions about the supply sent, have difficulty matching to orders, and so on. If you have questions, mark the supply for follow-up investigation, rather than receiving and linking incorrectly to orders. Designate specific staff members in the facility to investigate these medications/supplies.

  • Residents to be Matched - the number of residents, at the time of initial order import from the integrated pharmacy, whose demographic information (name, date of birth, gender, or Social Insurance Number (SIN)) did not exactly match a resident record in PointClickCare. These records need to be manually matched one time, and pharmacy needs to be notified to correct the discrepancy.
