Adding Alerts to Follow Up Questions

In the Follow Up Question Library, alerts can be configured to trigger from a response to a follow up question (FUQ). You can create a new complex alert, use an existing simple alert, or create a new simple alert for the FUQ.

  1. Management Console/EMC (if multi-facility database) > Standards > Care Management > Follow Up Question Library. (If single facility database: Care Plan > Setup > POC Follow Up Question Library).

  2. Click Alerts for a follow up question.

To create a Complex Alert

  1. Enter Alert Name.

  2. Enter Alert Description.

  3. Select Module(s).

  4. Enter Order Number, if needed.

  5. Select What follow up question response(s) trigger this alert?

  6. Complete the appropriate Row for For Each Resident Generate an Alert if.

To use an existing Simple Alert

  1. Select the appropriate Trigger Response (if applicable) from the list to select the response to trigger the alert.

  2. Click New. A window appears, showing any existing standard alerts.

  3. Select the Alert you want.

To create a Simple Alert

  1. Select the appropriate Trigger Response (if applicable) from the list to select the response to trigger the alert.

  2. Click New. A window appears, showing any existing standard alerts. If none of the existing alerts apply, then click New.

  3. Enter the Description.

  4. Select Module(s).

  5. Select Order Number, if needed.

  6. Select Alert Hot List option if you want this alert available to be manually triggered from within POC, Dashboards, and Care Plan Detail.

  7. In the Trigger Alert Setup window, you can edit/delete any alerts. Or click Close to return to the Follow Up Question Library.
