Order Alerts Dashboard Pane

To better address order related alerts, any drug protocol alerts, physician order alerts, or pharmacy alerts appear on a separate Order Alerts dashboard pane available from the Clinical and Resident Dashboards.

This Order Alerts pane shows the following information:

  • Filter to Show Alerts in the last.

  • Sort By.

  • View alert information including the Alert Effective Date and an Alert Description.

  • Effective Date and time of the Alert.

  • Resident Name links to Resident Dash tab of the chart.

  • Alert description.

Some of the type of alerts that appear include:

  • Order requiring reassessment:

    • An alert for any order that was marked as Requires Reassessment after the order is complete.

  • Orders with a Potential Drug Allergy:

    • An alert for any order that generated an allergy alert warning that was Saved and a Progress Note was not created on saving the order.

  • Orders with a Potential Drug Interaction:

    • An alert for any order that generated a warning of a potential drug interaction that was Saved and a Progress Note was not created on saving the order.

  • Orders with a Dose Warning:

    • An alert for any order that generated a warning of a potential drug overdose that was Saved and a Progress Note was not created on saving the order.

  • Order Alerts from Pharmacy (Integrated)

    • Alerts generated from a pharmacy when integrated with a facility.

  1. Navigate to the Orders Alert Pane within the Clinical or Resident Dashboard. Active alerts generated in the last 48 hours appear.

  2. To view more recent or older alerts, select a different look back period from the View Alerts in Last list.

  3. Depending on the type of alert you are viewing, you see a view to the left of the alert effective date or a more link to the right of the alert description.

  4. Select view to open a window containing the alert details and additional options to clear the alert, view orders, and so on.

  5. Hover over more at the end of an alert description to open a window containing the full alert details. This option does not allow you to take an action on the alert.

  6. Select resident's name to open the resident's clinical chart.

  7. After the alert is addressed per facility protocol, select the alert, then click Clear Alert

  • Creating Dashboard Views that relate to specific clinical areas allows you to organize your dashboards for easy access and management. For example: in this case, the 'Orders' view can be created to include all of the orders related dashboard panes.

  • A Quick Link to the Orders Alerts Listing Report is available from this Dashboard pane.

  • There is a separate security item to provide access to the Orders Alert Dashboard Pane. Access to this pane match the access currently granted to the Alerts Dashboard pane.

  • The Alerts that appear on this Orders Alerts pane depend on configuration settings and whether you are integrated with your pharmacy.
