Electronic Prescription Report

You can print an electronic prescription report. In case an electronic prescription message should fail to reach the integrated pharmacy, the system allows you to print a valid prescription so that it may be signed in wet ink. After printing that prescription, the system asks you to validate that the prescription was printed out. After this validation has occurred, if the prescription is printed again it automatically appears with a ‘Copy–Not for Dispense’ watermark over the prescription.

Note

Pharmacy Integration is required to view all outbound messages and events.

Note

This report does not include discontinued, struck out, or completed orders.

Note

Because a failed transmission means that the pharmacy has not received the medication order and is not filling that prescription, it is recommended that this report be generated every shift to avoid any delays in treatment.

Warning

After validation occurs, if the prescription is printed again, it automatically appears with a ‘Copy –Not for Dispense’ watermark over the prescription.

  1.  Clinical > Reports > Electronic Prescription Report.

  2. Click Electronic Prescription Report.

  3. Select status of Failed.

  • To print a copy of that prescription, run the same report with status of ‘successful’.
