Creating Care Level Templates

You use Care Level Templates to identify each type of billing rate associated to a payer. All your room and board payers need a Care Level Template associated in their payer setup and can have only one care level template and one alternate care level template.

Warning

Never delete a care level already in use. This affects all historical resident census and billing information associated to that care level. When care levels are deleted, the room and board reversed without re-booking for a resident with the deleted care level. Rather than deleting, enter an ineffective date to the care level.

Warning

If you edit the effective date or ineffective date to a Care Level, it affects all the associated payers with that care level. Affected payers can be seen under the payer option.

  1. Do one of the following: 

    • Single facility: Admin > Setup > Care Level Templates.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > Standards > Financial Management > Care Level Templates.

  • If payers are created at this time, you can associate to the Care Level Template.  Otherwise, after you create payers return to Care Level Templates and add.
