Creating Care Plan Types 

You can add, edit, and delete Care Plan Types from the Care Plan Type Pick List. After created, Care Plan Types can be added to Care Plan focuses either through the pick list, through the Care Plan Library at the Management Console or the facility level, or by the end user at the resident level. There are no system set Care Plan Types, you need to create your library. 

Note

Care Plan Types must first be enabled in Care Plan Configuration. 

Warning

Deleting a Care Plan Type removes it from all active care plans and linked focuses.

  1. Clinical > Setup > Pick Lists.

  2. Click Care Plan Types

    • The list next to the name shows what is currently available to your staff.

  • focuses - Click this link to attach your Care Plan Type to specific focuses. Click Add in the window and make your selections. 

    Note

    After completing these steps, new Care Plan Types and related focuses do not change current active care plans at the resident level. To update all active care plans with your new Care Plan Type, see the Care Plan Items.
