Skilled Nursing Facilities

Conversation Types Overview

Secure Conversations offers 3 different types of conversations: Resident Centric, General and Cross-Facility. Depending on your security access and your facility configuration, you can see these different conversation types. All conversation types are available in the PointClickCare web application and the Secure Conversations mobile app.

Resident-centric Conversations

These conversation require selecting a resident and, based on security permissions, you can complete actions against the resident’s chart such as adding uploading photos to the Misc tab and creating a progress note. This allows for secure messaging pertaining to a resident’s status.

General Conversations

General Conversations allows you with appropriate security to quickly and efficiently message other users within the facility and do not require a resident to be selected for the conversation. General Conversations allow for staff to reach out to various contacts or groups in the facility to communicate effectively. General Conversations can be useful when communicating an issue from staff to staff or a group that needs attention.

General Conversations are only visible to participants in those conversations from the Home > My Conversations pane.

Cross Facility Conversations

Cross-Facility Conversations allows you, with appropriate security, to message other users across facilities in multi-facility organizations with Secure Conversations enabled. Cross-Facility Conversations allow for staff to reach out to various contacts and groups across other Secure Conversations enabled facilities in the organization to communicate effectively through the PointClickCare web application and/or through the TigerText mobile app.

Cross-Facility Conversations appear in each facility they have access to. This feature is only available for multi-facility organizations where Secure Conversations is enabled in at least two facilities. Cross-Facility Conversations are useful when communicating an issue from staff to staff or a group in various facilities within your organization.

Cross Facility Conversations are only visible to participants in those conversations from the Home > My Conversations pane.
