POC Review Unscheduled Task

When an unscheduled task is documented in POC, the task appears in the resident’s Tasks tab when you select Show Only Unscheduled Tasks. The documentation for the task can be reviewed to determine if the task should be added to the resident’s chart.

Review Unscheduled Task

  1. Resident’s chart > Tasks tab.

  2. Click Show Only Unscheduled Tasks.

  3. Hover over the Paper icon to the left of the unscheduled task and view the message that appears.

  4. Click on the Paper icon to review the documentation for the task:

    • Unscheduled Task Documented in – select Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 30 Days, or Last 60 Days.

    • Review Effective Date and Time, Actual Time, and Documented By columns.

Add Task to Resident’s Chart

  1. Click Edit link for the unscheduled task.

  2. Select Active.

  3. Click Edit for the unscheduled task.

  4. Clear the Custom Frequency message and click OK.

  5. Select the frequency by clicking the lookup.gif.

  6.  Complete and update other fields if you need to.

  • When selecting Show Only Unscheduled Tasks, an unscheduled task is bold until the alert is cleared in the POC Unscheduled Task Alerts section of the Clinical Dashboard.

  • If you add an unscheduled task to a resident’s chart, it appears in the regular task listing, and no longer appears when selecting Show Only Unscheduled Tasks.

  • Show Only Unscheduled Tasks is available if Service Time Tracking is enabled (Clinical > General Configuration > Track Planned Time for Resident Tasks/Interventions) and users are permitted to document unscheduled tasks in POC (Clinical > Setup > POC General Configuration > Allow Users to Track Unscheduled Tasks).
