Creating a Standard Dashboard Layout by Position

Standard dashboard layouts support consistent workflow of staff performing the same roles throughout your organization. Standard dashboards appear for users based on the position assigned in the Security User.

If you use standard dashboard layouts by position, you can create multiple custom views for a position. To apply a standard dashboard layout to users, you must enforce the standard dashboard. After enforcing, the standard dashboard overrides the user-defined dashboard, and the user cannot create a custom dashboard.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Clinical > Setup > Standard Dashboard Layouts.

    • Management Console > Standards > Care Management > Standard Dashboard Layouts.

  2. Click New Layout.

    1. Select the Position to use the dashboard.

    2. Select the Dashboard Type.

    3. Click New View.

  3. Click Dashboard Items to appear in the view. To change the order, click and drag item headings.

  4. Click enforce.

You have several facilities, each with the same roles such as Admission Coordinator and Certified Medication Aide. You want all AdmissionCoordinators to use the Empty Locations, Overdue Waiting List Requests, ADT Revisions and Bed Hold Days Remaining dashboards. You want all Certified Medication Aides to use the Med Pass Status, POC Assignment Status, and Alerts dashboards. You can create a customized standard dashboard for each role and make the dashboard mandatory for the appropriate role.

  1. You create a standard dashboard layout for the Admission Coordinator position, create a view named Admitting, complete the layout and enforce the dashboard.

  2. All users with the Admission Coordinator position assigned in their Security User have the Admission standard dashboard with the Admitting view.

  3. You create another standard dashboard layout for the Certified Medicare Aide position, create a new view named Medication Pass, complete the layout, and enforce the dashboard.

  4. All users with the Certified Medication Aide position assigned in their Security User have the Certified Medication Aide standard dashboard.
