Resolve or Cancel a Task for a Resident in POC

When a task assigned to a resident is no longer needed, you should resolve or cancel the task. Resolving/Cancelling removes the task from the resident's Task tab and also removes it from POC required documentation.

  1. Facility > Clinical > Resident > Task tab.

  2. Click edit to the left of the Task Description. 

  3. At the top of the window, click Resolve.

  4. Save. The Task is removed from the resident Task List and from POC.

  • Selecting either Resolve or Cancel is not significant from a PointClickCare reporting standpoint. Facility Policy and Procedure should determine which selection is made.

  • The name, Date and Time a task is resolved/cancelled as well as the name of the person who completed the action are recorded in the Task History.
