Enabling Care Plans in POC

You can set up care plans or assessment-generated care plans to appear in POC.

If your facility uses assessment-generated care plans, complete both sections of the procedure: Assessments Setup and POC General Configuration.

If your facility uses care plans, only complete the second section of the procedure: POC General Configuration.

Note

Care Plans are available in POC on kiosks and in the web application only; they are not available in mobile POC.

Assessments Setup

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single Facility: Clinical > Setup > Assessment Configuration.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > Standards > Care Management > Custom Assessments.

  2. Click the description of the assessment.

  3. Select View Assessment Report Output in POC.

POC General Configuration

  1. Facility level: Clinical > Setup > POC General Configuration.

  2. Select Yes for Enable the ability to view care plans/UDA generated care plans in POC

  3. For assessment-generated care plans: select the assessment.

    For care plans: select PCC Standard Care Plan.

  • After this item is enabled, POC users can click Care Plan in POC to review a resident’s care plan.

  • The care plan in POC is a PDF report, therefore Adobe Reader is required.
