Tax Letters - Security Overview

There are two functions in PointClickCareto Manage Tax Letters:

  • Tax Letters Templates

  • Generate Tax Letters

Three new security functions control access to Tax Letters. Review your custom roles to ensure you included or excluded the Tax letter security functions where appropriate.

For your Billing Module roles under the parent function census reports, there is a Print Tax Letters function that you can set to Yes or No. This controls the facility level generate and print Tax letters which is found in Admin Reports > Generate Tax Letters.

For all Admin System roles including the Admin user (system), Admin Security (system) and Admin Setup (system) this function Print Tax Letters is set to Yes.

There are two functions for the EMC module. The first is called Print Tax Letters that you can set to Yes or No. This controls the EMC level generate and print Tax letters which is found in EMC > Reporting> Generate Tax Letters.

The other function for the EMC Module is under a parent function called Letters and is called Tax Letter Templates. This has the security controls of read, add, edit and delete. This function gives users access to the Tax letter templates creation, where you can upload your Word document and create your rate increase or decrease letter templates which is found in EMC > Standards > Tax Letter Templates.

The Financial EMC User (system) role has these functions set to full access.

If you are a single facility organization, your option for Tax letter Templates are found under your Admin Module security roles and it gives you access to the Admin > Setup > Tax Letter Templates.
