GLAP - Head Office - Facility Alias Setup

Facility alias is a short name or code you can assign to a facility name. After you create an alias,you can use and see the facility alias when entering transactions in the general ledger or accounts payable entries at the Head Office Level. Using the facility alias makes it easier to select or enter facility names without having to enter the full facility name. To use the facility alias, setup the GL configuration accordingly.

  1. From within the Head office entity, click the GLAP tab > Setup

  2. Click G/L Configuration. 

  3. Select Display Facility Alias in Head Office Entries.

  • If you configure the GL to show the facility alias in the Head Office, when you go to verify your inter-facility accounts, you see a system assigned alias which you can edit to give a new or code that is more appropriate for you.
