Profile Module - Medical Professionals - Changing a Primary Physician

If a resident's primary physician changes, the primary physician selection can change at anytime within the resident chart.

  1. In the Medical Professionals section, click the Clear Primary Physician link to change the Primary Physician.

  3. After the Profile page refreshes, a make primary link appears to the left of the names of the physician listed.

    • If there are no physicians listed, or the new Primary Physician is not listed, follow steps to add a new medical professional.

  4. If the new Primary Physician is listed, click the make primary link that appears to the left of the name of that physician.

  • The Primary Physician is automatically assigned to Physician Orders when the physician order is created.
