Editing a Document Manager Template

You can edit a Document Manager template to make changes to all fields after you first create a template. After a template is in use or a new version is created, you can edit to add an effective to date and to add additional facility activations.

In addition, you can edit the layout of an e-Signature type template to view sample data. The sample data includes the XDoc field tags you selected to include in your document. You see the field tag with field description to determine if editing is needed before you generate.

  1. Click Template Name.

  • Select Requires signature when you need the Resident or Responsible party to provide back a signed copy of the form.

  • Select Due date when you require the form to be returned by the Resident or Responsible party with in a certain number of days, weeks, months. Due Date required triggers a correct Due date for a Resident's form to appear on the Document Manager Portal under the Due Date column for Pending Documents.

  • You can edit all the template fields and edit the layout including signature box location and edit other text fields for an e-Signature template that is not in use.

  • You can edit to add an effective to date and add to facility activations for an e-Signature template that is in use.

  • Scope is only available when creating documents at the management console level. Facility level scopes all templates to that specific Facility.

  • You cannot edit or delete a Corporately or Line of Business scoped Template at the Facility Level. Edit and delete must be completed at the management console level.

  • The file name can be up to 100 char when uploading to a document manager template.

  • If you edit the layout of an attached file and replace the template file, the file layout is preserved.

  • If the file changes are significant, it may require adjusting the fields.
