Overview of Nutrition Management

Nutrition Management consists of 3 submodules: Essentials, Menus, and Recipes and Production. Using all 3 improves quality of care and satisfaction for the residents, health outcomes, and efficient documentation. They provide you with an organized process to collect and track information to meet the resident's nutritional needs, preferences, and therapeutic diets.

  • Essentials provides you with one centralized location to store resident information so you can set up nutritional plans, special diets, and track allergies. Essentials minimizes the chance of manual transcription errors, feeding errors, and provides critical data about the needs and preferences of residents, including any adaptive equipment needs.

  • Menus is an automated, easy to use menu builder program for Dietitians and Dietary Managers. It allows you to efficiently plan resident menus and maintain changing menu cycles with features such as find and replace and always available menu items. You can take resident orders in the dining area, in advance from anywhere in the building, and select meals for residents that are unable to make their own selections. The enhanced Ticket Dashboard tracks orders pending, placed, and completed maximizing meal service.

  • Recipes and Production improves the quality and consistency of meal production. You can scale all of your recipes keeping your food production uniform. You can tally quantities to reduce food waste and cost and gather historical data for forecasting production volumes.

  • A PointClickCare representative must enable Nutrition Management and the submodules.
