Marking Order Reviews as Signed in Wet Ink

Order Reviews signed by the prescriber on paper can be marked as Previously Signed in Wet Ink in PointClickCare. Marking order reviews as Signed in Wet Ink allows you to maintain a complete electronic record and can assist in tracking order reviews yet to be signed.

Note

Order Reviews should printed the day the prescriber completes the review to capture the most current list of orders that need to be reviewed.

  1. Clinical > Orders > Pending Order Reviews.

  2. Select reviews signed on paper and click Previously Signed in Wet Ink.

    • Select the name of the practitioner who signed the in wet ink.

    • Date Order Review Signed in wet ink - the date the prescriber actually signed the printed order review.

    • Review includes Active and On hold orders as of - the date and time Order Summary or Medication Review was printed. 

    • Facility Defined Order Review Date  -shows based upon configuration and is not editable.

    • Practitioner Revised Order Review Date - an optional field. If applicable, the next order review date can be changed and must be before the Facility Defined Order Review Date.

  • Prescribers can electronically complete order reviews, but cannot mark as signed in wet ink.
