Creating a Resident Record

The resident record documents demographic, personal, medical and billing information. You can add residents manually or by import. Import is normally for new database setups and requires the help of PointClickCare.

When Master Patient Index (MPI) is enabled, PointClickCare searches the organization's database to find matches. To avoid duplicate records, you must perform a search before adding a new resident. 

Note

When searching, use fewer characters to get the most results.

  1.  Admin > New Resident.

  2. Click Search.

  3. A list appears to select a resident if matches are found. You can select none to continue creating the new resident or select an exact match. Click Continue to create a new resident. 

  4. Complete the Resident Detail. Completing Resident Detail.
