Creating and Managing Ingredient Categories

This screen contains configuration settings for Recipe Builder for Ingredient Categories. Ingredient Categories help to organize the large list of ingredients and aide in retrieval when necessary.

Note

Ingredient Categories are shared across all facilities within your organization. Any changes made updates these details in all facilities. 

  1. Production > Recipe Builder > Ingredient Categories.

  2. Complete Ingredient Category Name.

  • Ingredient Category Name - Type information. Ingredient Category names must be unique. You can use special characters and spaces.

  • Change - Select option. An ingredient can only be assigned to one ingredient category. If assigning the same ingredient to a different ingredient category, it is automatically removed from the original category.

    1. Click on Ingredient Category, then click Change.

    2. Select Ingredient Name(s).

    3. Click > to move ingredient(s) into the new Ingredient Category.

    4. Click Update.

  • An Ingredient Category cannot be deleted if it has Ingredients assigned to it. The ingredients must be reassigned to a different Ingredient Category first.
