MDS 2.0 Section Listing

After you create a new assessment, or edited or viewed an existing MDS assessment, the MDS 2.0 section listing screen appears. This screen allows you to view, edit, and sign sections of that MDS assessment.

This screen shows header information including:

  • Resident Name,

  • Description or Type of Assessment,

  • Date,

  • IAR Consent Info (if applicable),

  • RUG Score,

  • ACCIS information (Alberta only).

When you use the Keyboard Navigation Tips just below the header, you can see different quick-entry navigation tips using your keyboard.

The following buttons are available based on your security permissions:

  • Back - return to the MDS tab of the resident chart.

  • View RUGS - opens the RUGS Trigger Question Summary for this assessment (Admission Full, Quarterly, Annual and Significant Change in Status only).

  • View Errors - view all errors and warnings across all sections of the MDS assessment.

  • Sign All - sign all unsigned and error free sections of the MDS assessment.

  • Regenerate Triggers - regenerate any triggers that flow from MDS to the Care Plan, Tasks, Assessments and Alerts modules.

  • Refresh Data - pull in the most recent information from the Resident Chart, POC (if applicable) and Therapy Minutes into the fields that are auto-populated in the MDS assessment.

  • Print - provides various printing options for the MDS assessment.

  • Lock/Unlock - lock a completed MDS assessment or Unlock to make changes before submission.

Under the buttons, you see the following links and columns:

  • edit or view an MDS section,

  • sign a completed MDS section,

  • reopen a signed MDS section,

  • errors link to view errors for that section,

  • section and Description columns,

  • if signed, the Signed By and Signed Date columns shows information.

  • Refresh Data can be beneficial if information is changed or updated after the MDS assessment is created.

  • The options available depend on your security permissions for MDS.
