Managing the Icon Library

Icons are used in POC to help visually identify tasks and/or follow up question responses. You can associate these icons with tasks, interventions, quick entry groups or follow up question response options. PointClickCare provides an icon library for common list options. You can also upload additional icons to the icon library. Using icons, staff can easily identify tasks or documentation options by picture, as well as the written text.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single Facility: Clinical > Setup > Icon Library.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > Standards > Care Management > Icon Library.

  2. Complete the following:

    • Enter an Icon Name - A description of the icon which appears in the list used to select an icon to associate with a standard task, custom task, standard intervention, custom intervention, follow up question pick list item or quick entry group.

    • Enter an Order - The order in which the icon name appears in the list used to select an icon to associate with a standard task, custom task, standard intervention, custom intervention, follow up question list item or quick entry group.

    • Click Browse to the right of the File field and navigate to the icon image file to upload.

  • All images are corporately scoped by default and accessible to all facilities within an organization. It is not possible to alter the scope.

  • You can only upload GIF and JPG files.

  • The maximum file size for the icon is 10KB.

  • The maximum storage space allocated for POC Icons is 2MB.
