Key Enhancements of New Rates & Billing Functionality
Billing Module
  • New Configuration options allow the setup of new rate structures

    • Room Charge Generation - Resident rates are matched with the corresponding Room Type and auto populated in the Census/Admission entry.

    • Rate Templates - You can setup templates and apply to the rate schedules in all facilities .This can be done at both the Management console and at the facility level.

    • Payer Rules - You can setup templates and apply Payer rules to all facilities at the Management Console level. Payer rules provide the opportunity to split invoices between multiple Payers.

    • Payer Trees -  You can split an invoice between multiple payers and issue invoices to both payers.  For example, Veterans Affairs may cover a portion of a resident invoice, you can split the charges between 2 payers (or more) to bill both parties on separate invoices.

    • Payer Rules and Rate Schedules - Rate Schedules are created using Rate templates, Market Rates or Actual Rates.  Updated rates are quickly copied to all Payers and applied to Resident accounts.

    • Market Rates - Market Rate Templates allow you to set room rates for each Payer by Living Unit rather than Care Level.  Using Market Rate Templates in Payer Rules and Rate Schedules, you can customize rates per living unit/unit type before they are applied to all residents across a community.  This enhancement is particularly useful in Senior Living environments.

    • Actual Rates - Provides opportunity to edit and apply rate increases in bulk for residents who are already on a customized room rate. Options include selecting private payer types, increase monthly and/or daily rates by percentage or dollar amount, and rounding options.  Mass updates for recurring charges and service package management rates will also be available with this feature.

    • Charge Adjustment codes and Recurring charges - Charge Adjustment codes are coming with 3.7.12. With Rate Enhancements enabled, the recurring charge process is part of the Generate Transactions process.
