Reviewing Admin and Clinical Setup for Care Plans

Some sections of Admin and Clinical Setup must be reviewed as part of Care Plan setup to confirm the accuracy of the settings and maximize the functionality of the module.

Admin Setup
  • General Configuration - Confirm Enable Resident Photos is selected if you want to use photos for Care Plans.

  • Pick Lists: Departments - Confirm Allow to Care Plan is selected for the appropriate Clinical departments.

  • Department/Position - Confirm all Clinical positions are assigned to appropriate departments.

Clinical Setup
  • Scoping - Review/amend the scoping of the following areas. It is recommended to scope items corporately to reduce duplication and workload, and to ensure consistency in documentation across your organization.

    • Care Plan Library

    • Standard Shifts

    • Standard Documentation Frequencies

  • Managing MPI Clinical Documentation (Historical Records) - Review/amend the settings for this module.

  • Progress Note Configuration - Confirm setting for this module's Default PN Type. 

  • Standard Dashboard Layouts - Confirm the applicable dashboard items are selected for the appropriate positions.
