Creating Contacts for a CRM Lead

In Lead Details for CRM, you can associate contacts to a lead. CRM contacts can be a professional or can be a potential resident making the call. For example, a contact can be a family member calling about possible placement, or a discharge planner or social worker contacting the organization about placement or a resident them self. 

When you enter lead contact and/or lead resident in lead details, their information populates to contacts. The lead resident is the primary contact when another primary contact is not entered.

If a contact is entered in referred by, their detail also populates to contacts. You can have multiple contacts in each section, however only one can be marked primary. You cannot remove a contact marked as primary therefore you must first add a new or change the primary contact. A primary contact is identified with a star. 

Note

When a Lead is closed as won, only resident contacts flow to the resident profile tab in Admin or Clinical. At this time, you need to select the primary billing contact because the selection of primary contact does not flow to the facility resident profile.

Contact Relationship and Contact Types need to be setup first in pick lists.

Resident Contacts

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single facility: Admin > CRM > Leads > Select Lead > Contacts.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > CRM > Leads > Select Lead > Contacts.

  2. Search Resident Contact or create New.

  3. Select Primary Contact, if applicable.

  4. Select Relationship.

  5. Select Contact Type(s).

Professional Contacts

  1. Search Professional Contact or create New.

  2. Select Primary Contact (if applicable).

  3. Select Contact Type(s).

  • Resident Contact search includes Admin and Lead Resident Contacts.

  • Professional Contact search includes CRM Lead Professional and Account Professional Contacts. 

  • If you associate a current Professional Contact(s) with existing contact types, the contact types for the Professional Contact are automatically selected.

  • If professional category is selected, only contact type field is applicable.
