Managing the Task Library

The Task Library contains a list of standard or common tasks. At the resident level, staff can select tasks from the Task Library to add to the chart.

You can delete, retire, reactivate, assign, and resolve tasks in the Task Library.

For deleting and retiring, if a task is already assigned to residents, resolve the task first (at the facility level, then delete or retire the task at the Management Console level.

You can also create new tasks or edit existing tasks in the Task Library.

Resolving a task

  1. Clinical > Setup > Task Library.

  2. Click tasks for library.

  3. Click resolve for task.

Deleting or retiring a task

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single facility: remain in the Task Library.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > Standards > Care Management > Task Library > click tasks for library.

  2. Click del or retire for task.

    Note

A task can only be deleted if there is no documentation completed for the task in POC. If there is documentation, you must retire the task instead.

  • Reactivating a task: A retired task can be reactivated. Select Show Retired > click reactivate > click OK.

  • Assigning a task: A task that is set to auto-create can be assigned to all residents in a facility. Click assign for the task > click OK. In a multi-facility database, this must be done at the facility level.
