When using PointClickCare in an integrated environment, pharmacy-initiated orders or Therapeutic Interchange orders go into a pending confirmation status, and need to be confirmed before being received from pharmacy. The process for confirming orders in an integrated and non-integrated environment is the same with the following notations.
Pharmacy-initiated orders have a Supply Directions appear below the Order Summary box in the add order window providing you with the supply information that was sent from the pharmacy.
Pharmacy-initiated orders can appear in the time code field 'As Dictated by Pharmacy'. This simply means that the pharmacy added the time code when entering the order. You can make any changes necessary to the time code.
