Troubleshooting for Enabling Macros in Word

The PointClickCare Word Macro helps create Word templates by making it easy to add merge fields into your Microsoft Word Document. Use these steps to help if you experience an issue when trying to enable macros in Microsoft Word.

Note

The PointClickCare macros are not dangerous and are needed on your Microsoft Word program to use in Rate Change Letters, Tax Letters, and Document Manager Templates.

The Macro only works on 32-bit version of Microsoft Word 2007 or later on Windows. 64 bit MS Word installations are not supported. If you have a 64 bit MS Word, install a 32-bit version of MS Word.

  1. Open a Word document.

  2. Click File.

  3. Click Options.

  4. Click Trust Center.

  5. Click Trust Center Settings.

  6. Select Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can run)

  7. Click Ok and click Ok again.
