  2. Create new or open an existing Tax Letter you use for your organization.

  3. Select the XDocReport tab in Microsoft Word.

  4. In the design section of the XDocReport tab, click Fields .

  5. Select the Model tab.

  6. Ensure you have the correct Model selected for Tax Letters. The Available fields appear.

  7. Place your cursor in the area of the Letter you want to insert your Field to.

  8. Select the field name to add to your tax letter.

  9. Click Insert Fields.

  • The merge fields can be formatted (bold, italic, font size, color, and so on) in the same way as normal text. The fields can be moved around your letter to any area.

  • Any of the fields found under the section for charge_list need to be added into the Word document within a Table where the table’s first row must be a Header. A table for these fields are required as there could be more than one occurrence for the field being pulled into the letter with the possibility of the letter updating more than one recurring charge for the Resident so a table will keep the charge codes and amounts organized.

  • To have different Models, download more than one template fields for available letter tags from PointClickCare (Rate change letters and Tax Letters).
