Managing Print Servers

This screen contains configuration settings for Menu Setup for Print Servers. If you want to print out resident meal tickets, you need to define your print server(s).

  1. Facility Setup > Menu Setup > Print Servers.

  • Monitoring Active - Select option. If checked, allows you to monitor the print server for errors or issues.

  • Unique Identifier - A Unique Identifier is automatically created after saving print server. The identifier is used to set up the printer to connect to your computer.

  • API Password - A password is auto generated when adding a new print server.

  • Download Installer - Select option. A zip folder downloads to your computer containing a file called config.properties. Follow instructions to complete configuration.

  • Contact your internal IT department to request technical support for completing the printer configuration should you need additional assistance.

  • Select Print Server name to edit name, API password, and monitoring status. 

  • You can edit existing print servers and save an API password. After saving, you need to download and re-install the printer installer for meal ticket printing to work.

  • If using a thermal printer for meal tickets, you can use any brand but it must be a 3 inch wide thermal receipt printer. The Epson Thermal TM-T88V printer is recommended.
