Invoice Entry Screen Overview

The functionality of this screen is essentially the same for invoices and credit memos. The look of the screen changes slightly depending on the option selected in Entry Type. When Credit Memo is selected, the field names reference credits and the field color is a pale yellow.

The AP Invoice Entry Screen has 2 tabs on the top left corner:

  • Invoice Entry

  • Invoice Filter

The Invoice Entry Screen is divided into 3 sections:

  1. Invoice Details - where vendor details appear and invoice details are entered. If the vendor Remit-to address appears. If the vendor is on hold, you see a "on hold" in red warning symbol.

  2. Payment Terms - where payment terms appears. The payment terms come from the vendor record in the vendor setup.

  3. Account Distribution - where you enter the G/L account number(s) for expense allocation.

  1. Click edit next to any open Invoice Batch. You can also click New to create a new invoice batch, enter the batch description, batch total and click Save & Edit. The Invoice Batch Entry screen appears.

  2. The A/P Invoice Entry Screen has 2 tabs on the top left corner:

    • Invoice Entry

    • Invoice Filter

  3. The default view is the Invoice Entry Screen. This screen is divided into 3 sections:

    • Invoice Details
