Head Office Inter-Facility New Account

You can add a new Inter-facility account in the Head Office.

Use Inter-facility accounts to allocate expenses and other journal entries across multiple facilities. The relationship between the Head Office and other facilities is setup using the Inter-Facility Accounts.

After the inter-facility accounts are configured for each facility in the database, including the Head office, the system books the due to/from entries when a journal entry or Accounts Payable invoice is entered in the Head office.

  1. Within the Head Office Entity > Click GLAP > Setup.

  2. Click Inter-Facility Accounts. The Inter-Facility Account Page appears.

  3. Click New to setup an inter-facility account. The New Inter-facility Account Setup window appears.

  4. Enter the Facility Name in the Facility Field OR click the lookup.gif to select the facility name from a list of a facilities within the database. If you configured your GL Setup to show facility alias, you also see the facility alias to the left of the facility name.

  5. Enter a facility alias (a short unique name or code for your facility) in the GLAP Facility Alias Field. If you setup the GL configuration, to Display the Facility Alias in Head Office, then you can use (and see) this alias when entering inter-facility transaction in the AP Invoice Entry and GL Journal Entry within the Head Office.

  6. Enter an Inter-facility Account with Head Office in the Inter-Facility Account with Head Office field. If you do not know the account, click the lookup.gif to select the account.

  7. Enter an Inter-Facility Account at the Head Office in the Inter-Facility Account at Head office field. If you do not know the account, click the lookup.gif to select the account.

  8. Click Printable View to print out a list of Inter-Facility Accounts.

  • Only inter-company account type accounts in the chart of accounts appear and only can be used. If you do not have these type of accounts setup in your chart of accounts, create them first to see them appear and available to select.

    Note

    Inter-facility account setup may be different and unique to each organization depending on their needs. Your GL/AP implementer setups this relationship with you.
