Starting Resident Conversations

You can start a Secure Conversation from the Conversations listing screen. Select a resident that the conversation is about and then select the participants or participant groups that are applicable.

  1. From the Conversations listing screen tap the + icon.

  2. Select conversation type: Specific to one patient.

  3. Select a Patient name from the listing.

  4. Tap the + symbol next to the To: field to select Individual or Group participant(s). A check mark appears next to the participant name. Tap again remove the check.

  5. Type your message in the TigerText Secure Message field.

  6. Tap Send.

  • You can only select a single resident for a conversation, but can select multiple participants or groups to be a part of the conversation. Filter the list of residents by facility in the list in the top right corner.

  • Search the resident list (iOS can see this by swiping down on the list) to view a Search field. Type a name or part of a name to find the resident.

  • The alpha bar on the right side can also assist in navigating the resident list, tap on the letter for a resident surname to scroll to that area of the resident list.

  • Remove participants selected by tapping on the To: field area and selecting the – symbol next to the participant you remove and tap Delete. You can also add additional participants from here as well if required via Add Participant.

  • Messages have up to 500 characters. If message is longer, only the first 500 characters are sent.

  • Send photos within the conversation by tapping the camera icon next to the TigerText Secure Message field. Select an existing photo on the mobile device or take a photo now and send as part of the conversation.

  • You must have security permission to start a conversation.

    • Security Roles > Home module > My Conversations = Read/Add or higher.

  • You must have security permission to send photos in conversations.

    • Security Roles > Home module > Include Photos = Read/Add or higher.

  • You must have security permission to the Secure Conversations mobile app.
