Manually Create a Multi-facility Quality Improvement Project

You can create a new QIP for multiple facilities to address the same issue across the organization.

Corporate Quality Improvement Projects can be created from multiple locations across the Analytics module.

Warning

After you create a Corporate Level QIP, assign facilities and Activate from the Corporate Level, you can NO LONGER edit the Problem, Analysis and Aims.

Note

Multiple QIPs can be created with the same title. Before creating a new QIP, check existing active QIPs to prevent duplicates. Review QIP ID#.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Analytics > QIP > Create Corporate QIP.

    • Corporate QI Dashboard > hover over selected QI > select Corporate QIP.

  2. Complete Opportunity, Analysis, and Aims.

  3. In Act, select the facilities to apply the QIP to.

    • The Summary tab includes a list of all available facilities on the left. Click the facility name to move it over to the right side pane. Every facility listed on the right side of the pane has the PIP assigned when you click Active.

    • Clear returns all facility names in the right pane back to the left pane but only before selecting activation. Clicking a single facility in the right pane returns that one facility back to the left pane.

  • Instructions and Hints remain on the right side of the page throughout the QIP creation and when editing under the Plan category to cue you about how to complete the fields, including links to resources and QAPI tools.

  • All fields of the Corporate QIPs can be edited at the facility level, after assigned.
