Creating a Custom Cash Flow Report in GL/AP

A Cash Flow Statement shows how changes in balance sheet accounts and income affect cash and cash equivalents. It breaks the analysis down into operating, investing and financing activities. In the custom financial reporting area of the application, a new report type called Cash Flow is available. You can use this report type to create custom Cash Flow statements to help you manage the cash flow information at your facilities.

Note

We recommend building the custom report at the Management Console for multi-facilities. This ensures the report is available to run for all facilities

For more information, see   Custom Reports Overview.

Create custom Account Groups

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single facilities > GLAP > Setup > G/L Custom Reports Setup > Account Groups.

    • Multi-facilities > Management Console > Standards > GLAP Setup > Account Groups.

  2. Click New.

    • Customize the Account Group to include all Bank and Cash GL accounts. This account group represents the opening cash balance on the Cash Flow Report and is used in formulas to create the closing cash balance.
