Logging In and Out of the Skin & Wound Mobile App

To access the PointClickCare Skin & Wound mobile app, your mobile device must be connected to Wi-Fi. The first time you access the mobile app, it requires you to allow access your camera. After logging in to the Skin and Wound app, the camera screen opens.

Logging out ensures your session is securely closed.

Note

If you are offline, a grey bar shows across the top of the screen, and a message appears on the Lock screen notifying you of offline status. An orange bar appears at the top of the screen whenever the mobile app and the server are syncing. 

Warning

If you uninstall the app, unsynced data is deleted and can not be recovered.

Logging In

  1. Open the PointClickCare Skin & Wound app on your mobile device.

  2. Enter your organization code and username.

  3. Enter your password. Your username entered in the previous screen shows on this screen. 

  4. Swipe to the right or click the resident icon to view the resident list.

Logging Out

  1. Click the avatar icon.

  2. Click LOGOUT. A message shows when you are safe to log out.

    Warning

    If you attempt to log out while offline, a message shows that you have unsaved images and assessments that will be permanently deleted if you continue to log out before syncing. After syncing, a message shows when you are safe to log out.

  • From the camera screen, swipe to the right or click the resident icon to view the resident list. Scroll or type resident name in Search bar to locate a resident. Pull down resident list to refresh list.

  • If the resident's chart is not opened from the resident list in the mobile app, a cloud icon shows. After navigating to the resident's chart, the icon disappears.

  • Click Filter to show resident list by unit or floor.

  • For multi-facility organizations, click Facility icon to navigate to another facility.

  • After 5 minutes of inactivity, the mobile app screen locks and you must enter your password to unlock. The screen also locks if you leave the mobile app. This security measure is in place to prevent unauthorized persons from opening the mobile app and accessing resident records.

  • If you log out of the mobile app before data is synced, information does not show on the dashboard. You must log back in and sync for the information to show on the dashboard.
