Adding Quality Improvement Project (QIP) Categories

The QIP Settings is an area where, with the appropriate security, you can add, edit, retire or activate QIP Categories. In addition to the System provided Categories, you can create QIP Categories.

  1. Analytics > QIP Tile > Cog Wheel > QIP > Categories.

  2. Enter PIP Name.

  • Retire a System category by clicking the Actions link and clicking Retire. When the system category is retired, the system shows Retired in the status column.

  • Make a Retired System Category Active again by clicking the Actions link and clicking Activate. The system shows Active in the Status column.

  • Edit User Defined categories by clicking the Actions link and clicking Edit. Only the name of the Category can be edited.

  • Retire User Defined categories by clicking the Actions link, and clicking Retire. After retired, the system shows Retired in the Status column.

  • Make a Retired User Defined Category Active again by clicking the Actions link and clicking Activate. The system shows Active in the Status column.

  • Adding, Retiring, and Activating QIP Categories are security driven.
