Add Orders from Order Sets

You can add a related set of order templates to the resident's chart, using batch updated in Orders Management.

  1. From the Orders tab in the clinical chart, click Batch Update.

  2. Click Add Order Set.

  3. Type or select the date the orders were received.

  4. Select the time the orders were received.

  5. Search and select the practitioner that gave the orders.

  6. If the list of available sets is extensive, enter the name or key word associated with the order set (for example, 'admission orders').

  7. Click Search.

  8. Locate the Order Set you want.

  9. Click the + sign next to the listed Order Groups to show check boxes next to all the available order templates within the set.

  10. Select the applicable order templates to add.

  11. Save. All selected order templates are added to the Order Queue.

  12. Complete the process of updating and saving Queued Orders (See Queued Orders).

  • Select the options next to the Order Set heading to select all the orders in that group. 

  • You must have Orders in Queue security set to Yes.
