Adding or Editing a Contact in the Profile Module

Within the Profile module, use the Contact section to record the emergency, care, and financial contacts for the resident.

  1. In the resident record, click the Profile tab to open the Profile module for the resident.

  2. In the Contacts section, click Add to add a new contact.

  3. Filter your search in field by narrowing the search to Resident, Contacts, or All.

  4. For the Contact Type field, click Add/Modify Role to assign the type of contact.

  5. In the Contact Type Pick List pop-up, indicate the type of contact. Your facility has the definitions of each type of contact. A single contact can have multiple roles in the system.

  6. Save to close the Contact Type Pick List window. Save & New to add additional contacts.

  • Enter comments in the Comments field to leave notes about when and where a contact may work or when they may be away on vacation and who to contact in case they are unavailable.

  • If a comment is entered into the Comments field, place the cursor over the italic i and a hover note shows the comment.

  • The Contacts filter is used to search to find contacts (for other residents) across all facilities. In the pop-up that appears, use the magnifying glass lookup.gif to search for a resident name to list the contacts related to that resident. Select the resident name and click Search. From the list of contacts shown, click the name of contact to associate the contact with the resident. Edit the contact details as needed.

  • When adding a Contact to a resident's Profile tab, you can search for another Resident to be used as a contact, Contacts of other Residents, or Both.

  • Existing contact information such as a contact name can be edited by clicking the edit link to the left of the contact's name. Now you can edit the contact's details.

  • Contacts can be deleted by clicking the del link to the left of the contact's name, Field Value, Modified By, Date Modified, and Modified by Facility.

  • An underlined ( i ) in blue indicates that a comment is attached to that particular contact. Hover over the icon to view the comment.
