Creating Document Manager Categories

You create categories for use in Document Manager. Categories help you organize and manage documents. You can see a list of templates selected for the category in the category details. After the categories setup is complete, you can select the appropriate category(ies) when you create templates.

You can use Document Manager categories to create reports in Clinical and run from a resident chart.

Warning

If you are currently using Document Manager and have generated templates but want to Enable Document Manager Categories, you must complete the Category Migration.

You cannot edit and change a category for an in use template after the migration is complete.

Note

You assign categories to appear in Admin and/or Clinical. This determines the module the generated document appears. 

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single facilityAdmin > Document Manager > Setup.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > Operations > Document Manager > Setup.

  • The category scope is determined where the category is created.  For example, Corporate scope when created at Management Console or Facility scope when created at the facility.
