Creating Room Rate Types

You create Room Rate Types to use in your Room Listing setup to define the rate type for each room. Room Rates are used as a filter in the Rate Schedule setup.

You should have 1 Room  Rate Type for every different rooms type you have in your facility

  1. From one of the following:

    • Single FacilityAdmin > Setup > Billing Setup > Room Rate Types

    • Multi-Facility: Management Console > Standards > Financial Management > Billing Setup > Room Rate Types 

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter a unique Short Description.

  4. Select the appropriate Category.

  5. Click Save.

  • Room Rate Types can be configured to Room Type Relationships.

  • Room Rate Types are used in your Room Listing.

  • If your organization has the default rate type, you can edit and rename it to be the most common room rate type in your facility so you have less updates to make in your rooms listing.

  • Room Rate Types are used in the Rate Schedule roomsetup.

  • Room Rate Types determine how much a resident is billed based on the rooms they are assigned too. 

  • You need to have Rate Type Categories completed.
